TechNet Australia

Report from the Chair – 2008

In December 2007 I was invited by UWA to present a seminar on TechNet

organisation in Perth. There was a lot of support from VC's Deans and

Managers. A steering Committee has now been formed with Elizabeth Halladin (UWA)

as the Chair. They are now organising the TNA Conference for 2009. So

put this in your diaries for next year. Check the TNA website for

info. Many thanks to Elizabeth and those responsible for giving me the

opportunity to speak to them about TechNet.

TechNetQld. - Progress report

Meetings have been organised between Univ. of Qld., Griffith University

and Queensland University of Technology. Contact has also been made

with the University of Central Queensland at Gladstone.  Many thanks

to Mark Hayne, Greg Tevelen, Paul Comino and Susie Head for their

ongoing work in establishing TechNet Qld.

TechNetNSW - Progress report

Some TechNet groups are meeting within their own schools. As the

Universities of NSW are so wide spread; it will take some ongoing work

to make progress towards establishing a state TechNet body. Many

thanks to Jenny Nelson for her ongoing commitment to TechNet in New

South Wales.
